About The GamefowlWikiGamefowlFacts.Org presents the GamefowlWiki, the gamefowl encyclopedia were anyone can create an account and edit almost any page. If you see an error on a page, you can correct it instantly. Or, if you want to add new content, you don't need to ask for permission first - you just go ahead and create it. Before you do so, make sure you follow the directions we are asking of you. As long as you contribute correctly you will never hear from us. ScholarlyThere are, of course, many differences of opinion within gamefowl communities and breeders, and no-one can approach any document without bringing a range of personal opinion to bear on their examination. GamefowlFacts.Org does not aim to portray a correct commentary, or adhere to any particular viewpoint. The general Wikipedia principle of Neutral point of view applies here on this site also. Opposing viewpoints should each be accurately represented and cited. Each viewpoint shall be noted by group affiliations, breed standards, breed types, disease control , famous breeders, cockfighting, rules of the pit, and so on. CommentaryThe primary focus of GamefowlFacts.Org is to produce a commentary on gamefowl history, and cockfighting, an encyclopedia of people, places, events, along with providing an outlet for breeders to promote their sport/hobby. This encyclopedia is to be professional and not abused by anyone. There will be areas for facts where the ARA movement has distorted the truth. There will be areas for false information from animal rights organizations such as PeTA, the HSUS and others alike. To do so it is also necessary to build articles on these topics that can be referred to in the body of each commentary on every page throughout the wiki. We will also have sections for gamefowl breeders to advertise, create a custom page, and build on it. However we will have policies regarding photo uploads and content. This area is not to be abused but rather to enhance the gamefowl community as a whole. After learning in the sandbox go ahead and make your own breeders page.

Work in ProgressMuch of the work to date on this site has been setting up the main internal site functions, testing them and looking for bug related issues. Only a few pages have been created so far: This is where you come in. We need help in all areas and we want to concentrate first on setting up a user friendly help section found here. Don't be afraid to jump right in and start with this project today! Do some testing in the Sandbox to learn more about how to use this wiki. We will start by creating the necessary categories in the Special:Categories section along with the wiki help section and move on from there. Keeping Up A great way to keep up with pages that need attention is to visit the special wanted pages section. This section shows all of the pages that are currently waiting for creation. You can click on any of them to begin setting up the particular page. Create any page You can start a brand new page on any topic you desire. All one has to do to start a page is type the "title" (name of new page) into the search option, hit search and then you will be given the opportunity to create and begin working on that page. How To Make Your Breeders PageFirst do a search to make sure it is not already listed. If you do not find a listing, you can create a new page using the exact name of your farm or site only. Make the page as complete as possible. It is very possible to have breeders farms with the same name {ie: Mike's Gamefowl Farm), therefore we ask that you create the page including the city, state or country. Example: (Mikes Gamefowl Farm (Kentucky). The page is to be completed as soon as possible. Personal pages are to provide as much information as possible along with paying attention to grammar and detail. You can add as much personal information as you like, but remember that if you add an email address you are opening the door for spam. Though it is up to you, we suggest an AIM or Yahoo messenger link instead. Users are allowed a maximum of 2 photos on their personal page. After learning in the sandbox go ahead and make your own breeders page. After you have completed the page you are to add it to the full list of breeders here. How Do I Use The Wiki?
