Not unlike many previous efforts at promotion of gamefowl, this effort has already faced it’s share of doubters.

Domestic terrorism has long been a thorn in the sides of all Americans, in many cases a very deadly thorn. Groups such as Animal Liberation Front (PETA’s financial foster child), and Earth Liberation Front now must take a back seat to the newest terrorist supergroup. This group has coffers that are bursting at the seams and boasts enough members to effectively populate a small nation, this supergroup is, of course, none other than the Humane Society of the United States.

They have strategically endangered the lives of millions of Americans for the purpose of furthering their agenda, and boosting their bank account. Their tactics have certainly made a big splash in the world, as they have masterminded the largest beef recall in American history. Many, of course, have fallen victim to the excuses and misleading statements of the charismatic Wayne Pacelle, but if you keep an open mind you will find that their agenda is as transparent as a new window. (more…)

As I look through the policies and beliefs of the animal rights organizations, I am appalled at the number of members they have. Surely this many Americans have not lost their minds. I believe that the problem at hand is that many people are confusing animal rights with animal welfare. Before you make up your mind that they are one and the same, please read on.

Animal rights organizations agenda is based upon the belief that animals have rights, just as humans do, but have no responsibilities. The belief in animal welfare, carries the desire that animals are provided with adequate food, water, and shelter and generally treated well. While being treated well, these animals would do exactly as God created them to do, and that is to serve man. The animal is, indeed, the property of it’s owner, and the human owner is, indeed, the master of the animal. This master is something of a dictator, but in the interest of animal welfare, he must be a benevolent dictator.

Pinnion, McGinnis, Kerney, Bacon, McClean, & Brown have long been some of the most revered and respected names to be mentioned in cockfighting circles. In the near future, we will inevitably add two more names to the long list of cockfighting legends: Pacelle and Goodwin.

These two former animal rights activists shocked the world when they suddenly appeared in Manila and took home the coveted World Slasher Cup, and have not lost an ounce of momentum since. They vow to win Cocker of the Year honors at every major pit in the world this year, and many think they may accomplish just that. Finally, in this exclusive story, their silence has been broken, and their story told of why they turned their backs on the Humane Society of the United States, and how they catapulted straight to the top of the cock fighting world. (more…)

I believe thoroughly that a vast number of United States citizens are opposed to cockfighting as a sport. While many of those people have developed their beliefs based upon false information and exaggerated claims, the fact remains that they are opposed. I have seen large amounts of information posted throughout the internet attempting to educate the public regarding cocking, but it has been to little avail.

I am sure that a large number of people will look at the first little bit of this post and dismiss it as another cockfighting advocate who is trying to plead his case to you. That is not the primary purpose of this article. While I may briefly mention my beliefs, the majority of this post will be revealing to you what your beliefs are, as that is the topic at hand.

The fact is that many of these individuals cannot see past the visions of blood, gore and abuse that has been planted in their heads by the animal rights agenda. They have been told countless stories, many of which were perversions of the truth, regarding fowl forced to fight, while their owners cry out with a bloodlust that would rival that of Vlad the Impaler of ancient times. They picture a setting where prostitutes and drug dealers are plying their trade in open view, while advocates of poor personal hygiene beat their wives and children behind the bleachers. They write their checks to the HSUS with a tear in their eye as they picture a cute, cuddly chicken with intelligence rivaling that of a primate, are taught by humans to fight, and tortured if they refuse to do so. (more…)

Last night was one of those nights that rendered me sleepless until the wee hours of the morning. This frequently happens to me, at times when my mind is active in spite of my body’s weary state. It is on these nights that I frequently find myself writing these blog entries in my mind. Last night was a little different than most of the other nights that I spend in deep thought, however.

I spent many hours thinking deeply about the state of our industry, the dying breaths of our sport, and the sorrow of our fraternity, as I usually do. The part that made this night different is that I was also thinking about Christmas, and what it really means to me. This post, like most, will entertain some of you, anger some of you, and surprise some of you. I also have something on my mind that hopefully will bring a smile to most of you. (more…)
